It’s holidays time. Not for everybody, of course (we’re still working). But half of the world is travelling to their summer destinations. We hope you’ll be part of the lucky ones. Whether if you are or not, you’ll find useful today’s post for when it comes the time to pack the suitcase and leave.

Since your Android has become an add-on of yourself, surely you will bring it with you during the trip. Thus, today we’re going to zoom in those apps that will help you out on the planning of your holidays trip. That means, the apps which are recommendable to install before leaving.

First, check the weather out. Actually, the weather is worth to be taken in account since is something that could make your holidays become a dream or a nightmare. Be sure that you’ll get the weather you expect to by checking it before leaving with a great weather app like The Weather Channel. This app has really improved its performance since last update. The interface has been enhanced. Now it’s more intuitive, good-looking and user-friendly. The navigation is easier and faster and the search bar is way less intrusive. Thanks to The Weather Channel you will have comprehensive knowledge about predictions from wherever in the World. Be sure that you’re getting a dreamy holidays.

Once you’ve checked the weather on your destination, it’s time to book flight, hostels, restaurants and even plan what to do nearby the place. That’s what TripAdvisor allows you to do. TripAdvisor is probably the most complete travel guide for Android. Actually it’s like having hundreds of travel guides in your pocket. It has a huge database of hotels, restaurants, flights, forums, things to do and much more just a one-click away from you. What’s even better is that the most of that places, spectacles, events, etc. have a review from other people that have already been there.

Finally, you will need a mapping app to set your own location on your destination and to find, by this way, the places you want to visit. Likewise, you’ll probably need a GPS if you’ve rented a car to move nearby the place. Which Android app can perform all of this best? You’re right, our beloved Google Maps. If you don’t have it installed in your Android yet, just do it! You have even more reasons to do it since the last update: now you can download maps to navigate through them offline.
